Your coin collection was assembled with too much care to be undervalued.

The responsibility of achieving the true value of an inherited coin collection is huge. Considering the research and effort likely taken to assemble this, you’ve a duty to avoid a disappointing return. The problem is, selling coin collections can be a minefield when you’re not an expert in this field. And when this might be one of many aspects of an estate you’re dealing with, you can’t afford to waste time and energy on mediocre offers.

What Not to Do

Never Settle For:

01

Lack of clarity around today’s real time market value of your coin collection.

02

Selling through estate sales, pawn brokers or coin shops for a fraction of the true value.

03

A lengthy coin appraisal process requiring you to prepare and deliver your collection in person.

04

Wasting time on low-ball offers from a local buyer when you could attract bids from a global coin collectors network.

Why You Shouldn’t Value Your Own Coins

Inherited a collection? Keen to know what it’s worth? There’s a bevy of information out there on how to value your coin collection. But before you go scouring the web, we strongly advise you approach your research with extreme caution. And here’s why:

Internet guides only offer a snapshot in time
Not real-time market valuations. After many years in this field we’ve seen how wildly different valuations can be as demand fluctuates.
What’s on screen is not always what you have in your hand
It’s super easy to miss out on the slightest of variations from one coin to another. A nearly imperceptible flaw can massively impact the valuation as the condition of each coin is paramount. Proceed with caution when it comes to making assumptions about your own coins.
Your collection’s only worth what someone’s prepared to pay for it
Some suggested valuations online are way over what they would ever fetch in today’s market – so it’s easy to get excited about the value of yours when inflated valuations are rife. Many online blogs and videos suggest sensationalized prices to attract views and clicks, but offer little in the way of accurate information.
Without expert insight you risk wasting a ton of time
There is so much conflicting information on the internet it can be really difficult to know what to believe when this isn’t your area of expertise. So, often, people end up going down a rabbit hole trying - and failing - to get consistent answers.

Create Photos or an Inventory Listing

Before the appraisal we were stuck in the mud on almost every aspect of my folks estate. You showed us an impartial way, though the division of my Dad’s one-of-a-kind coin collection, that it can be done. We are out of the mud and on higher ground. I say that with a breath of fresh [air]!
